Tim Balon creates interior spaces with preferences for patterned wall painting, color, furniture design and restoration. After growing up in a household of makers, he traveled and studied art history and architecture. He worked at design and restoration firms in Chicago, experiences that lend his work a bit of that city's aesthetic. Later, he went on to architecture and returned to crafts and interior design in order to make things with his hands. Tim holds a Master's in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.A. in Art History from The College of Wooster. He lives in San Francisco.
His work is featured in the January 2012 issue of Sunset Magazine. (pdf available here)
